Born into an artistic family, Matthieu entered the conservatory at the age of four. He started with classical music before exploring rock, pop, bluegrass, country, and jazz. With 25 years of experience, he was discovered at a RedBull event in a Verbier club, where the unique sounds of his multi-effect violin made a lasting impression—marking a turning point in his career.
